My name is John and I am a Melbourne based freelance photographer. I take photos that are natural, expressive and say something about the individual.

Taking the time to establishing a comfortable rapport with everyone I photograph means that the results are personal, honest and memorable.

There is more to photography than just making someone look beautiful or “perfected”. I believe a good photo will show an aspect of someone’s personality and mannerism and hopefully in a way that others have not seen them. If i can take a photo that will tell your story or show what you are passionate about, then that is a good photo.

Whether it is a live performance or just a gathering of family and friends, I take photos with the aim of capturing the emotion of the moment, the energy of the time, the result being images that are eye-grabbing and meaningful.
